PSC RECOGNISED AT THE 2026 AIA QUEENSLAND CHAPTER AWARDS

In an exciting awards season for PSC, we are proud to share that in a first for our team, two of our projects have received further recognition at the Australian Institute of Architects 2026 Queensland Chapter Architecture Awards.

Following the regional commendations received earlier this year, these results mark another significant milestone for our team and reflect the strength, care and consistency of PSC’s work across Civic, Public and Heritage Architecture in Queensland.

Receiving this recognition is important to us as it celebrates more than individual project outcomes. It acknowledges the trust of our Clients, the skill of our collaborators, and the commitment of our people to designing places that serve communities, respect history and contribute lasting public value.

The occasion was made especially fitting by its setting: Brisbane City Hall, officially opened in 1930 and designed by our Studio’s founding Partners, Tom Hall and GG Prentice – known at that time as Hall & Prentice.

Warwick Police Facility Upgrade received an award in the Heritage Architecture category. The project continues PSC’s long-standing commitment to careful and respectful heritage work, balancing contemporary operational requirements with the cultural significance of a valued civic site.

Beaudesert Courthouse also received a commendation in the Public Architecture category. As the first new courthouse in Queensland since 2012, the project responds to an important civic brief with clarity, restraint and a strong sense of public purpose.

“It’s difficult for people who aren't in the design professions and in the construction industry to fully appreciate the energy and team commitment required to deliver a quality project like this, and Lisa has correctly acknowledged this. A large part of the success for Beaudesert also comes from our Client's reasonable expectation that such an important public building deserves considered thought and we believe the design team has understood this significance and then delivered accordingly. The Courthouse is also an important project for PSC in that we were able to design another building in Beaudesert following several others delivered in town as part of our rich Architectural history of last Century.”
