Our interior design team is expanding! We are actively looking for a talented professional who thrives on detail and collaboration to join our vibrant and dynamic studio in the heart of Fortitude Valley.
About the Role:
As an interior designer, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of the design process, including:
- Create practical, aesthetic, and unique designs across all project phases (with support from Senior Interior Designer)
- Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Revit, Enscape, Indesign, Photoshop
- Provide technical expertise in design and documentation, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, BCA, and council regulations.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules using Revit
- Contribute to the selection of materials, finishes, and fixtures, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and design intent are maintained
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies
About You
- Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, or a similar qualification
- 2-3 years of professional experience working in commercial interior design/architecture practice or environment
- Strong conceptual design, communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
- Be able to take an active role in the development of design solutions alongside the Senior Designer
- Proficient in Revit, Adobe suite and Enscape.
- Technically proficient with the ability to work in the team to prepare documentation packages including drawings and schedules
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Interest or experience in Healthcare and/or Education sectors design will be highly valued.
A remuneration package will be offered based on skill levels and experience of the successful applicant.
